Orchid Country Club
This weekend, instead of staying at home & preparing for my upcoming Term Test next week,
I went to stay over at a resort at Orchid Country Club that we've recently signed membership.
In the afternoon, we packed up & left house, with 9 poeple squeezed in the car. I almost suffocate.
In the car, the golf course is right ahead.

Finally after 20mins of drive, we arrived at our destination.
This would be the place we're staying in - Orchid Lodge.
I 'demand' my grandmother to take photo with this tree since this whole 'vacation' is for her.
I slept in Room 206.
A view of the golf course from our balcony.
Time to unpack after snapping the entire room.
The room is filled with paintings of Orchids.
Opps, forgot about the toilet.
Not as big as overseas hotel rooms but, still acceptable.
After finish unpacking & laze around in the room a little, we decided to head our for a walk.
Daddy thought my cousins are still young, so he brought them here.
But they don't seem to be interested. Haha.
Followed by their all time favourite - Bowling.
Everytime my parents come to O.C.C., they never fail to bowl.
Especially now with more kaki(s), they're happier.
I didn't play at all. Instead, I was sitting at a side occupied with my CellB notes T_T
Can't even enjoy myself this weekend.
After an hour or so, I went back to the hotel room & mug even more.
In the balcony.
The chair is super comfortable & relaxing.
They finished their game & came back.
& all of us head out again for more walks.
Come to a point of time where they decided to play Ping Pong.
So I went back to the room to rest while waiting for dinner to start.
Finally, all my relatives came. & dinner started.
Peach Garden
The whole place was decorated very grandly.
We had 2 tables in a private room, adults' & childrens' table.
Just as we're waiting, a waitress brought in the first dish - Longevity Bun.
There is ginger & all. We didn't eat the ginger, obviously.
The ginger just represents longevity.
The son & daughters.
The grandchildren.
Followed by individual family shots.

Steamed Soon Hock Fish with Superior Soya Sauce
Deep-Fried Piglet with Spices (second serving)
Fried Longevity Mian Xian with Diced Seafood
Dessert -
Chilled Royale Jelly with Aloe Vera in Young Coconut
After dinner, the cake was served.
Happy Birthday song was played in the background while the waitress carried the cake infront of my grandmother. Everyone started singing.
Happy 78th Birthday,
Ah-ma! (:
Ever since I was young till now, I've always stayed with her. 3 meals a day, she settled it all.
Everyday her biggest worry is to think of what food to prepare for us.
Every night, she never fail to cook soup for us. Without her, I think I'll be a very unhealthy kid.
Sometimes I feel very bad throwing my temper at her whenever I am in a bad mood.
But she didn't say anything nor hold any grudge.
I am very grateful to be able to live with her & definitely love her lots.

Family photo!
After dinner, the rest went to play mahjong while I head back to the room.
Washed up & doze off immediately as I have to wake up early the next day for
Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2009.
Rise & shine at 530am & drove to The Padang for our run.
This year I ran with the 10km Men instead of 10km Women.
Cause the women's race start an hour later so we don't wanna waste time.
This year, the run wasn't as tiring as last year. But I think my timing was worst this year :/
& we're supposed to write words of encouragement on a sheet of paper & pin it on our back. During the run, I saw some that are running for their love ones, some running for their new-born baby.
Some was even running for a dear one that left. It really touches me & see the effort they put in.
But what did I write?
But what did I write?
Ok, enough of fun for this weekend.
Time to mugggg
