How's everyone's first day of new year? I hope it was great for all of you.

Even though I wasn't really looking forward to CNY this year,

it's still a once in a while opportunity to catch up with relatives & friends. Am I right?

We usually don't take photos during CNY. Not only CNY I think, almost all occasions.

Until recently when Baby got me a camera, then I decided to bring it along & snap some pictures for family occasions like grandp's birthday etc.

The only 2 photos I've taken today.

My previous maid came back to visit. & so I grab this chance to take a memorable picture with her.

Kuku lor, she work so long I never take picture with her before, she left already then take =="

I didn't even get to say good-bye when she left.

Then my day of visitation officially started.

House #1: Maternal Ahma's

I heard from superstitions that it's not good to go back to niang jia on the first day of the CNY. But heck la. This has been the case ever since I was born.

House #2: Yisum-poh's

I don't really know where's the link between us but I think she's my paternal grandmother's brother's wife.

Screw the family tree thingy la!

Sometimes I don't even know how to address those long-lost relatives lor.

Just say "Hello, Happy New Year!!!" then smile widely like I'm very happy to see them. Hah.

Digressing, I regretted not learning Canto.

Cause 3/4 of the time, I don't know what Yisum-poh's talking about.

Every time after she finish her sentence, I'll look at my parents blankly, then they'll laugh & translate.

House #3: Don't-know-number-what Great Uncle's

The first time I ever saw them was during 2008's CNY.

First time ever in my 18 years of life! From then on we did visit them every CNY.

House #4: Dad's friend's

His son still look as dashing & handsome as before.

I had a crush on him before when I was young. Puppy love cannot ah?

We use to go on cruise/Genting when all of us were much younger. & the uncles all very funny!

House #5: 4th Uncle (Maternal)

Nothing much to elaborate on. After that all the relatives left & came over to my place.

But I wasn't gna be at home cause...

House #6: Daniel's

I went to meet Baby & then we went over to Dan's house. My first gamble for today.

Baby & I lost a total of $2 nett. Even though lose but not that bad what. $2 is small amount la!

We'll win back tomorrow, & moreee!!!
