✈ RSAF Open House 2011 ✈
During lecture this week, Mr Chan mentioned about the RSAF Open House this weekend,
I've been wanting to go to the show very very badly but somehow or rather, I always miss the chance.
Now, I finally had the opportunity (almost didn't got it cause...) so I went with Jz.
I thought only Jz & I was going, but Dan&Mel came along with us as well! (:
After the interview I had in school in the morning, I went back home & out again to meet up with them.
We had breakfast at Hougang before queuing up for the shuttle bus service.
I heard there's a lot of people. True enough, there is. But its actually quite fast.
20 minutes of waiting & we're up on the bus, ready to be amazed by some planes (:
Once we reached Paya Lebar Air Base, the place is already crowded with people!
I am glad to see kids around too. It is good to expose them to what Singapore have for defence.
Other than that, also got lots of macho guys in uniform walking around flaunting their weapons. Hehehe.
Upon entering, was "welcomed" by this guard standing right in the middle.
So funny he's so still & I caught him moving his Adam apple up & down repeatedly.
Mel said his throat itchy or something, but cannot scratch, so can only do that. HAHAHAHA!
I swear I am actually very tempted to tickle his ear/nose with my hair but if he point the rifle at me how??? :/
Sitting right at the doorstep is this beauty - F15SG. Singapore's newest plane.
As we're walking towards it, the guys can't stop "wowing", same goes for other visitors.
Look all the missiles lined up neatly, showing off their dominance.
I wonder how heavy is one. Would it be heavier than me?? Looks like it is.
The exhaust pipe of the F15SG. Looking sexy even from the back! *winks*
Dan posing with the F16. Idk which is newer, F15SG or F16??
But I think the F15SG is more chio than the F16 lehhh. Imho.
Dan&Mel with Mel's favourite plane. Which, has a Singapore flag on it (;
Once again, the F15SG, people!! Can never get enough of this chio plane.
MY FAVOURITE OF ALL THE EXHIBITS - HELICOPTER.
THE APACHE!!!
I am such a great fan, I even had its tattoo on my left cheek! :D
I look super green.
Green tank top, holding on to Green Tea & that $1 ice-cream that works wonder in this weather.
My 2nd favourite - The Chinook.
I realize I don't really fall for jet planes. I have a soft spot for helicopters! :D
This looks like the machine to destroy the world in the movie XXX starring Vin Diesel. Haha.
Jz posing with that Bazuka. He said its super heavy.
I wanted to take a photo with it too. But thank God I didn't. Else my shoulder will break!
We caught the C130 taking off.
Btw, Meiling & Pam were at the Air Show as well & THEY WON A PAIR OF TICKET TO BOARD THE PLANE!!!!!
I felt so happy for them please. Even though its a 20mins ride but still... they're so lucky!! :D
After walking around the parade square & viewing almost all the exhibits, we went indoors.
The weather is really hot. I even had a minor sun-burnt. Thank God they sell ice-cream at $1 each.
There was this indoor tent-age that has game stations for visitors to participate. Mostly kids.
But since we're young at heart, we joined in too (super buay paiseh) (:
The guys played the soccer station. Its like, easy peasy for them as compared to the kids.
This little boy is one of them. He looks so cute pleaseee... I wna kidnap him home already.
The guys randomly playing this baseball station cause there's absolutely no queue for this. No business. Haha.
But they suck at it as much. No wonder no one wants to play. So hard to win!
I played my one & only station. & I won a prize!! :D Guess what is it?? (:
IT'S A SPIDERMAN MASK!! :DDDDD
Jz's like, wearing it & doing all sorts of Spiderman-ish poses. Scaring the kids only... :/
Dan also. He worst. Walk around wearing that mask & shaking hands with people. Hilarious!!
I'm so afraid of walking next to him, in case my face appear on STOMP :x
We were queuing up for balloon sculpture but... the guys wanted to see the Air Show. So we left.
In the end the Air Show is at 4pm lorrr!! I want my balloon sculpture!! D:
Our last stop was the indoor gallery.
After which, we walked back to the entrance & took the shuttle bus back to Hougang station.
After we're home & bathed, we came out again, now together with Glor&Marcus to buy presents!
We're celebrating Nigel's belated 21st birthday tomorrow yet we've yet to get presents. So last minute.
Firstly, we went to the infamous Thai place where we always go, for dinner.
We're all famished cause we skipped lunch while at the RSAF Open House.
After dinner, its already 8pm. So we chiong to town to get the presents which we had in mind.
Home & so freaking tired. Have been out since 7am in the morning omgzzz!
Imma comatize in 5, 4, 3, 2, ... zzz.
P/S; Photo credits to Dan. Thank you!
