Saturday - 18th July
Ballet Under The Stars


I met Jean on the train. We're both late for like 30mins? 
Jolene's already at Dhoby Ghaut waiting for us. Hahaha.


Firstly, we went off to Carrefour to get food for our picnic.
Last year all we got was tit-bits, tit-bits & more tit-bits. Which means fat Fat & FAT !!
This year Jean prepared Spaghetti & Pizza, so we bought lesser food.

Omgh! This cheese is mouldy. I can't believe it's edible >.<
After getting all the food, we also headed to Diaso to get mats.
At the same time, I was attracted to 2 very beautiful boxes. 
So I bought them on impulse =x Oh, & a mini pencil case too.
Aftermath, we walked over to Fort Canning. The weather is super hot can !?
I'm bathed with my own perspiration by the time I reach there.
On the way, we saw this "fountain" & decided to camwhore here.

Ok, here's the first obstacle. Look at the steps !! It kills.
By the time I'm up there, I'm already panting like mad. Lack of exercise maybe :/

After more, more & many more stairs, we finally reached the place (:


We quickly search for a good spot, & settled down fast in case other people who're more aunty than us snatch it.

& the picnic begins.

When we turned & look back, we're overwhelmed by the crowd.
As compared to last year, this year's crowd was twice the size.

We got a pretty good spot i suppose, not too close & not very far from the stage.
Though it's not really centralized, but it's ok (:

Thankfully I bought along my mini-fan.
I really gotta be thankful for this cause it saved me a couple of times.

I brought Hearts along too =x I know it's a bit lame but, whatever.
I am childish, I know.

My verdict is: NICE (:
Though the noodle's a little dry cause it's been brought all the way from Sengkang to Fort Canning. But still, it's delicious.

Just look at how Jo&I enjoy it.

After eating a few rounds, we're all very full. & there's still lots of leftover !!

The performance begun.
This is not the actual performance actually. This is just extras, by some schools.
We booked the tickets for Saturday because only Sat & Sun has it.

Some primary school kids, on swimming.

Oh, this one's interesting. The 3 of us just can't stop laughing at the dancers la.
It's like, modern dance instead of ballet?
The dancers are all scattered about & acting spastic =x
If you play L4D, you'll think the dancers are worst than the Infectants.

After 4 performance was an intermission = camwhore starts !!

I love this one. It's super nice la. It captures all our attention.
I like the costume, & the dance moves. One of my favourite.


Another intermission & here we go.....

I love this one too. It's classical ballet. On top of that, the female lead was very pretty.
Though we're not sitting very near the stage, but from far, you can see she's gorgeous.

I remember this dance. It's called Black & White.

Before the finale, we snap again.

Jean&Jo was sooooooooooo ________.
Jolene cued, 1, 2... & then they shift their faces forward to cover mine.
So idiotic can !!

This dance was supposed to be the finale, I was pretty disappointed by the last dance. But, it's still nice.

Every dance just warms my heart. Except for the "zombie" one. It gave me goosepimples :/
I wondered, why didn't my mom let me attend ballet classes when I was young? Rather than those art classes.
Despite my art pieces being so bad, she still wants me to attend art classes.
But it's ok. Next time I'll let my daughter take up ballet classes (:


While I was watching BUTS, B. was over at Esplanade watching Journey To The West with Dan&Mel. 
Our shows ended at around the same time, so I met B. at Dhoby Ghaut & he sent me home.

Perfect night with perfect people (:
