Food, GLORIOUS Food...

Hi. I am alone at home (with my maid actually) & I'm bored so I thought maybe I should blog.

I wanted to blog tomorrow cause I thought I'd nap when I reach home (at 3pm) but I CAN'T SLEEP!

So I shall blog... about this morning...

As y'all know, today is Good Friday...

HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY PEOPLE!! :DDD

Ok anyway, Dad woke me up (more like 'whack' me up with Sis's bolster) & told me to get ready.

Where are we going? We're going to Pengarang for a short one-day getaway! (:

I thought we'd be driving in but Dad ask me to drive to Changi Ferry Terminal. 

So we're taking the ferry instead. If we drive, it would be a 2-3hours drive. Or more since today is P.H..

Even so, when we arrived at Changi Ferry Terminal, its jam-packed with people!!

Ok actually there's a really really long queue but that's actually the people going to Pulau Ubin.

The queue really very 夸张 (exaggerating) lor. Machiam Great Singapore Sale (GSS). 

However, the queue to Pengarang is not any better cause there isn't a proper queue to start off with!

Everyone's just crowding around the counter & placing their passports on the table.

Because... the damn person there don't even know what time the ferry's coming etc.

On top of having to wait aimlessly for the ferry to come, we're told we have to take the 4pm ferry back, latest.

We see no point in going cause even if we take the ferry now, we'd only reach at 2pm. 

There's no point in going there from 2pm-4pm. We can't do much in 2hours! So we gave it a miss.

Instead, we went to Serangoon Gardens Country Club for Dim Sum @ Yum Cha Garden.

芝麻叉烧酥

It was super super well baked! It's crispy on the outside, moist in the inside. Really delicious.

叉烧酥 has always been my favourite dim sum & its really heart-warming to be eating a plate of good 叉烧酥 (Y)

鲜虾付皮卷

This is the first time I am trying out this dish in a dim sum restaurant. 

& I'd say I really like it! Its really nice. The inside is filled with fresh prawns & really juicy.

流沙包

This is really freaking damn awesome!! I was in doubt when Sis told me its nice.

When I took one, pilled it into half & took a small bite with the fillings, I'm sold.

The filling's actually salted eggs & I think butter. What a good combination!! Yums~!

叉烧燕肠粉

Yes, this is what's known as Chee Cheong Fun. However, over here there's meat inside. Nice!

  小龙包

We ordered 3 baskets of them cause its our all time favourite!! 

鱼翅汤饺

Only Dad & Grandma had this. Grandma offered me a sip though. The soup's really tasty.
But can taste that it contain lots of MSG :/ I didn't try the thingay inside.

Ever since Jz brought us to Cowboy's Tavern, I have been craving for the soup there :/
So today, I brought my family there to try out their food! (:
As usual, 1 set meal cost $9.90. Top-up $3 to enjoy free-flow of soup, garlic bread, ice-cream & drinks!!

I like how this place stick so closely to the theme - Cowboy.
The design, layout, displays, furniture of the place is closely related to cowboys.
Not only that, even the waiter/waitresses dressed as cowboys. They even had guns in their pockets!
Also, even the name of the food is cowboy/texas related! For example...
Yeehaa Piggies, Country Sheriff, Rodeo Fanatics, Texas United, Wild Wild West, Crazy Horse, etc etc etc...
