OSIP

GOLD COAST
Surfers Paradise

Today we'd be travelling to Gold Coast to have some sunshine!
We would be taking a bus from our place to South Brisbane train station to take the train for 1hour to Gold Coast.
From the train station in Gold Coast, we'd then need to change to a bus to the place we're going - Surfers Paradise!
There is a lot of places in Gold Coast, but we thought Surfers Paradise would be more fun than the rest, so we went!

Croissant for breakfast. Or rather, lunch, for my case.

Check out their traffic light system! Its to prevent people from jay-walking.

When we reach the platform, we're literally jumping & shouting "Train tracks!"

Wah, beat Singapore hands down.

The doors won't open unless you press the button when you board/alight.

After 3 stops, we reached a train station & we're told to alight the train cos the tracks were under maintenance.
Whut!?? Our first time taking the train & we're experiencing this!?? What a bad start!
But nonetheless, we're quite lucky to experience this. We'll have chance to take trains in future (:

Since the train is out of service, they have coaches provided to bring us to our destination.

This is our bus to Nerang station.

On the coach!

We saw a lot of cars attached to a caravan.
I think Australians are generally family-oriented as well as out-going.
I realized most of the cars here are family car (7-seaters) & they love going on road-trips!

The train station we're supposed to alight at.

We then took another bus to Surfers Paradise.
While waiting to board the bus, the bus driver was busy talking to a passenger & our card has no more money,
so we're waiting for the bus driver to finish talking so that we can  pay the fare,
but this woman passenger sitting in front just pulled us in, like, smuggle us into the bus.
We felt a little weird at first but she kept signalling us to come in, so we went in.

We finally arrived at our destination - Surfers Paradise!
At first when we alighted at the bus stop, we saw this river thing & I thought I dio scam.
Is this Surfers Paradise?? What is this!?? Bring me the beach & the bikini babes & the hunks!

Then Rina & Shalom told me that we have to walk over to the other side to the beach.
Oh I see. I am bad at map reading. They've been the ones planning on how to come etc. I'm just a follower :/

Grabbing as much brochure as I can to see what activities are there over here.

There's lot of shopping over here. A lot of outlet store as well.
Its like we're at the city, but with bikini babes walking in the malls etc wearing nothing but bikini. Cool.

Seagulls flying everywhere!

Boys, this is for you. & yes, I really mean it when I say they walk in the malls & down the street in these ONLY!

We're here - Surfers Paradise!!! :DDD

This place is really amazing! Its like at one moment we're shopping in a city.
Then when we cross the road, is the golden beach & the big blue ocean!
This place is really a paradise. Its like they plant a beach right next to the city! Amazing!
In Singapore, when we look out of the sea, we see boats, yacht etc. Over here, we see the horizon.

A lot of air crafts flying around that area. I supposed its the guards watching out for sharks??
Yes, there are sharks in Gold Coast. We just have to keep a look out & swim within safe compounds.
Btw, their air crafts looks so cartoonish! Didn't know they really exist irl. Thought only in cartoons!

Look at the long, broad seashore!
Gold Coast itself is a 30km long beach!

Lo & behold for a flood of photos...
We took a lot of waves photos. They all look the same in pictures but they're so pretty irl we just hafta snap!

We just stood there & spam lots of photos, then we decided to get some food before strolling along the beach.

Check out this supper long vehicle!

Hungry Jacks ice cream!
I got the Top, which is the normal ice-cream with chocolate coating. AUD$1.
Later in the afternoon I had ice-cream for the second time cos its super nice!
But I had the normal ice-cream instead which costs AUD$0.50.

Eating ice-cream & strolling along the path above the beach.

We reached the end of the path, but not the beach, so we sat there & enjoyed the sea view & breeze.

After that we decided to sit on the sand instead cos the sand is so fine & soft!
We also had our lunch there. Haha. Brought Fruit Pie from home, which taste like shit!
The fillings inside is super awful, so I just ate the pastry part & threw the rest away :/

Then we took lots of photos again...

The infamous jump shot!

Failed attempt for a "running" shot. #fail

Its says "2-9-1-0-1-1" = 29/10/11!

We decided to leave & walk over to the other end of the beach.

Suddenly a block of shadow on the beach because of the high rise building.
Spot the gang of seagulls frolicking on the soft sand.
They remind me of the seagulls in Finding Nemo. "Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!" Hahaha.

A group of people playing volleyball at the other end of the beach.

Surfers Paradise; I left my footprints here, but brought back beautiful memories. X
