A short getaway to JB...

Finally planned for a short getaway to JB w/ Limei and Guanrui. 

I am super noob and have never tried taking public transport into Malaysia before and hence I just follow the 2 experts - Jz and Limei.

First we met at Woodlands interchange and took a cab to Woodlands check-point. Around 5 to 10mins.

Once we passed the Singapore custom we've to take bus 160/170 to the Malaysia custom, before we finally enter Malaysia.

It was recommended by them that we change our money in Malaysia itself because the rates are better.

So the moment we step into Malaysia, we change our money at City Square Mall which is right beside the Malaysia custom. 

Rate was 1:2.39.

Our first destination is to eat the Bak Kut Teh that Limei strongly recommend. 

We took a cab from City Square Mall and its about 10mins ride and RM$11.

Toufu, which is super soft and nice...

Fish but don't know what its called. Limei strongly recommend it as well.

The main, which is Bak Kut Teh. I liked it. The taste is just right. Not like some which is so peppery.

Our lunch cost around RM$61 in total. Relatively cheap I'd say. That's what I love about Malaysia! Cheap cheap cheap! :D

Next we took a cab to KSL City which is another shopping mall in JB. I think its quite new.

Its about 10mins away from the BKT place and fare is about RM$9 if I remember correctly.

We intend to watch Wrath of the Titans there and bought our tickets at RM$40+ for 4 tickets. About S$6.

While waiting for our show to start, we went shopping. 

I kinda like the shopping over there because its so similar to Singapore but at cheaper rates. 

And their variety over there is more as well, from what I see. 

I would definitely go back again just for shopping... :)

To be honest I didn't really enjoy the movie at all because my eye is mfking pain!

Since I woke up this morning my right eye has been stinging like mad and I can't open it. Tears kept coming out.

What made it worst was I was down with flu. So is Jz. I honestly think is he pass to me one lor. 

But anyway, I am really suffering like mad and I'm so worried I'll be a burden to the rest of them.

After movie is shopping time again. I didn't buy much. Unlike Limei. Hahahaha.

We went to buy some titbits back to Singapore though, from Kapitam. They sell those local products.

This is my favourite snack! I bought a dozen for RM7.60.

Jz bought this cherry red nail enamel for me. Hehehehe.

We decided to have an early dinner as I look like a zombie.

Supposed to eat seafood but my bbg said I have sore eyes so better not. So sweeeettt!

She wanted to bring us to a place to eat which is near KSL City, but after walking rounds and rounds, can't find that place.

So we took a cab back to City Square Mall to look for a place for dinner.

Again, we can't decide on what to eat until we saw this place - Sushi King. 

There's actually quite a lot of other places to eat as well. All quite similar to Singapore.

Sadly their restaurant doesn't have buffet style and the cheapest plate is RM$4.

Also bought Beard Papa to snack.

Also bought Baskin Robbins. Hehehe. We damn pig I know.

It was already 9:00PM when we decided to leave Malaysia. 

The custom is filled with people and there's a jam between the Malaysia and Singapore customs as well.

When we finally arrived in Singapore, its already 9:30PM. 

I was super grumpy because my eye is hurting like a bitch and the flu meds I took is making me super drowsy.

I slept likea baby while on the way back to Hougang from Woodlands.

Poor Jz have to put up with my grumpiness and accommodate me even though he's sick as well.

In another story, I'm suffering from eye infection...
