Mommies' Birthday!!

2 mommies' birthday today and it was my own blood mommy and the other is Singapore.

Hmmm, Singapore is female right? i thought all countries are females? Like, MOTHER nature??? :/

Anyhoo, it was an ordinary day filled with ordinary doings like waking up to breakfast prepared etc...

Didn't have any plans with friends though it's PH cos it's my mom's birthday.

Y'know, whenever it's your family members birthday, people avoid asking you out otherwise would be judged as bad influence. Haha.

Patriotic OOTD cos I'm hitting town with mah parents. Everyone's dressed in red-white too! 

After a few hours of shopping and I stocked up on my cosmetics, we went to dress-up for tonight's dinner.

Sis booked dinner at this very atas place specially for Mom's birthday. 

Every year we'll have dinner at East Coast or somewhere with our fav restaurant and yearn to see the fireworks.

So this year, all thanks to Sis's thoughtful plans, we got to enjoy a very special National Day.

Ok so here it is, our dinner is at the 70th story of Swissôtel The Stamford, Equinox Restaurant.

It is a 6 course dinner with an amazing view of the NDP 2012. Atas or what!

Enjoying the view with a bottle of Casa Lapostolle Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot. 

Ignore the jargons, just wna act a little classy. They're simply sparkling water and red wine.

Crab Cocktail

Top greenish stuff is just foam of some veggie or something. Middle portion is chunky pieces of crab meat!

Wild Mushroom Consommé, Quail Tortellini

The thing in the broth is the mushroom. So I guess the broth is from quail eggs. 

Snoked Haddock and Spring Onion Risotto, Shellfish Glaze

Yummiez! I've never thought risotto would taste this nice! Starting to love risotti from now.

And just as I am enjoying my favourite risotto...

Magnificent. 

Angus Beef Fillet and Braised Shoulder, Wilted Spinach, Celeriac, Pan Seared Foie Gras and Thyme Jus

Main. Hmmm, I'm not a big fan of beef so I had a few mouth and pass it. 

It's my first time tasting foie gras and didn't know what's the big deal about it last time. It just taste like pork oil.

Like you know when you eat satay and there're some portion where it's the oil? Taste like that.

"Chocolate Lava" Okubo Blood Peach Sorbet

Eat until I want to die. Mainly cos we already had 5 dishes beforehand. And the lava cake is damn nice!

Also my first time having lava cake (don't-judge!) so I was super excited. A little sick of it after a few mouthful though. 

While dessert was served, the waitress present the cake to Mommy.

It's Chocolate Mousse I think. Super nice too!
