Happy Belated 20th Birthday, Sister! ♥
You may think this photo of hers looks like she's getting married. Hah.
Just what I hoped it would be - her wedding photo.
Aye sista, faster get married ley. So that I can have my own room.
But that'll mean you need to find a boyf first la. Make sure you find 1 that is as good as Jz.
She've been my room mate for 18 years, & still counting.
When we're younger, we use to fight a lot. As in really cat-fight.
But now as we grew older, we piss each other off lesser.
& sometimes even during bedtime where both of us can't sleep, we'll just talk.
Love you sis (;
We celebrated her birthday over at a Korean restaurant in Amara Hotel.

The hotel was very porsh & classy.
Since it was a Korean restaurant, the entire place is filled with Korea's concept.
Except we don't sit on tatami with low tables.
Everything from the interior design, the utensils to the atmosphere. Totally Korean-ish.
Our table was super empty when we're seated.
Soon after, it's filled with bowls!
This is their appetizer. It's a soup.
Taste like 7-Up/Sprite with a dash of vinegar. Eww.
Korean's are very precise about the way of consuming their food.
Like, what kind of food have to go with what kind of sauce.
Before we even start we already have 4 types of sauces.
Thanks to the waitress who served us, she taught us the actual way of eating the food.
Like how to cook it, eat with what sauce, how to wrap it with veg leaves etc.
My favourite sauce is the bottom left one. Like satay sauce. Haha.
More appetizers.
This one below is really nice though it look simple.
It looks like some normal garden salad but that white sauce makes it nicer.
Ah, the always awful & boring kimchi.
Finally the main dishes are up. The waitress cooked it for us.
Samgyeopsai
Its pork, but don't know which part.
& I don't think its nice. I don't know why my parents said its nice.
I can't really taste the meat & its dry. Not nice.
Doaeji-Galbi
Also pork but its the ribs. I love this dish man!
It's like the best dish in this whole course la.
Wangjokbal
Its pork also I think. I am not a big fan of pork but just eat a few pieces la.
Its not bad eating it plain but nicer if you dip into sauces & wrap it with veg leaves.
This is how you do it when eating all the BBQ meat.
My grandmother use to cook it at home too.
I think the meat she cook is nicer than all the meat here lor.
Maybe because she add lots of other ingredients too but the meat here is all plain.
That's why the many sauces & veg leaves?
Haemool-Pajeon
Looks & taste like fried oysters. & a wee bit like carrot cake(?)
Maewoon-Yang-Gooi
Finally a different type of meat. Now mutton.
Honestly, I HATE mutton. I can't stand the smell of it. Yucks x10000.
After eating so much meat, we're sick of it. So brother ordered...
Jajangmyeon
Then sister & me ordered a bowl of cold noodles.
Mool-Naengmyeon
Not as fantastic as the Japanese Chasoba.
Look at what seems like crystals in the water? They're actually ice.
Like eating noodles in ice-kachang. LOL! & the noodles are like beehoon.
Finally, dessert.
& another drink. I think it's ginger tea.
It taste very sweet & has a little ginger punch in it.
Honestly, the food wasn't up to my expectations.
In fact, after the meal I felt sick with the mix of taste from sour, sweet, spicy.
I am just not a big fan of Korean cuisine.
Grandmother's house aftermath & home, sweet home.
